MASV is a file-transfer service for workflows that require sending large video files, such as backing up footage to cloud storage or delivering files to post-production teams. You can configure a MASV portal to automatically upload files to your MediaSilo workspace.
First, you need to add the free MediaSilo integration to your MASV account. This step requires MediaSilo API credentials.
Log in to your MASV account and go to the Cloud Integrations tab.
Scroll down to the section “Asset management and collaboration.” Then, select MediaSilo.
Now you’ll need to connect your MediaSilo account by entering your API key and secret. When you’re done, click the Verify button. A checkmark confirms that your API credentials were accepted.
Next, enter the name of the MediaSilo project where you want to upload files. This is the project where any files uploaded to your MASV portal will be delivered. Use the Target Directory field if you want to add the files to a specific folder in your project. For example, enter /dailies to upload files to a folder named “dailies.”
Click Connect to finish setting up the MediaSilo integration.
Before you start sharing your MASV portal, be sure to access your portal’s settings and turn on the MediaSilo integration. In the Status column, simply set the toggle to the “on” position.
Once the MediaSilo integration is turned on for a MASV portal, users can upload files or folders to the portal as usual.
When an upload is complete, the files will appear in the MediaSilo project you selected.
In MediaSilo, the uploader will be listed as the person who used their API credentials to set up the integration.
