Learn how to recreate MediaSilo Legacy QuickSites using Spotlight.
In this article, you will learn how to recreate your favorite MediaSilo Legacy QuickSites using the Spotlight Template Builder. You will then be able to use your newly designed Spotlight template to display and share your MediaSilo files.
To begin, I will show you how to recreate the "Jupiter" QuickSite theme from MediaSilo Legacy in Spotlight.
A Spotlight presentation with navigable folders and a search bar
First, in your MediaSilo account, click the Spotlight icon and choose Create New > Spotlight. This will open a window where you will enter a name and description for this Spotlight presentation. Once you select Portal to create your microsite, click Create.
Create a new Spotlight presentation.
Choose the Grid - Light Template for your presentation.
Choose your presentation settings. You can always change these later.
Close the Settings window to start customizing your template.
If you do not have a playlist, you can click the Media Browser icon above the Playlist icon to select individual files you wish to add. Once you are done adding your desired files, you can begin customizing your text and colors for your Spotlight presentation.
To ensure you are displaying your assets and folders in the most efficient presentation, load your playlists in a Gallery element and choose Show Folders in the Gallery’s Settings. Toggling this option is the only way to display your playlist's entire folder structure in your Spotlight presentation.
Choose Show Folders in the Gallery's Settings
Rename your gallery in the properties panel.
Connect the search bar to your gallery.
Use the search bar to locate files in your gallery.
Adjust your text settings in the properties panel.
Apply your brand colors in the properties panel.
Preview your Spotlight presentation.
Copy your Spotlight link and start sharing your presentation.
